Regarding your statement of 2 February 2017, which in part reads: “The situation in Eastern Ukraine is one that demands clear and strong condemnation of Russian actions…”
The UN is not opposed to a strong Russia providing they do not return to their Soviet Union era tendencies of aggression towards their neighbors and stay contained within their borders. And, as a palliative, the United Nations is OK with former Soviet satellite countries not becoming UN members, at least for the time being. But they do wish to see progress in these nation states bordering Russia towards becoming “strong democratic societies.”
Now therein lies the problem, and it’s big: The UN’s definition of democracy is collectivism! And they hope to eventually pick off every former soviet block country, one-by-one, as they become steeped in the UN Systems’ progressive indoctrination with designs to eventually make them UN members (satellites).
And this indoctrination is deep and it is vast permeating all levels of society when you take into account UN System related entities, NGOs and civil society with propaganda strategies to impact the media and education and influence governmental policy. Let me be blunt, the UN works like a slow poison.
I’m not an apologist for Russia. I’m just saying I’m not a fan of the UN and know that they’re doing the same thing they accuse Russia of doing: Good old-fashioned colonialism.
They know it and Putin knows it too!
